In the last two posts, we covered a few computer repair terms that will help you understand the repair process better. It is important that you ask the computer services repair team about the problem with your computer and ways to prevent and fix it. Seek information on technical terms that the team uses. A good computer repair services team will not only be efficient but also be helpful.
Here are a few more terms related to computer repair that you should know.
Chip: Now you may have heard this term several times in conjunction with different computer parts. A chip essentially refers to a circuit, more commonly to an integrated circuit (IC). The term is used to refer to circuits embedded on or added to the motherboard.
Input Devices: This term refers to the devices that are used to put information on the computer. The two most common input devices are the keyboard and the mouse.
Output Devices: This term refers to the devices that produce the information from the computer. The two most common output devices are the monitor (computer screen) and the speakers.
Storage Devices: While the input devices help put information on the computer and the output devices present the output, the storage devices are the ones that store the information. The hard disk, both internal and external, is a storage device. Other examples of storage devices are floppy disks, DVDs, CDs, and flash drives.
