Today we will discuss how to create a program or a folder shortcut. You can create a shortcut at any location on your computer. Let’s look at the steps to create a shortcut.
1. Go to the location where you want to create the shortcut. Typically, shortcuts are created on the desktop to help access programs and folders easily.
2. Right-click anywhere in your chosen location.
3. Select the New option.
4. Click the Shortcut option. The Create Shortcut window will appear.
5. Click the Browse button to select the program or folder you want to create the shortcut for. Look for a program in the Program Files folder in the default local drive. If you are making a shortcut of a folder location, browse to the folder.
If you do not know where the application or program is located but know the command for it, enter the command in the given field and skip to step 7.
6. Click the OK button.
7. Click the Next button.
8. Click the Finish button.
